PRESENT: Roll call of Board Members:
Supv. Richard D. Lane, Councilmen Ron Tepfenhart, Richard Dodge,
Albert Roberts, Jeff Timerman, Roy Gilchrist and Clerk June McCartin.

MINUTES: Motion from Councilman Dodge to accept the May 5th minutes as
received and Councilman Tepfenhart seconded the motion. Agreed.

- Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables

- Water District #2
Casey Dickinson was present with update on Water District #2.
Bids for contract #1 (pipe installation) and contract #2 (electrical)
have been received and reviewed. No negative results per
qualification benefits. Councilman Tepfenhart motioned a
resolution to accept bid and award contract #1 to Highlander
Councilman Roberts seconded the motion. Agreed. Roll call vote:
Councilman Tepfenhart – yes; Councilman Dodge – yes,
Councilman Roberts- yes. Councilman Timerman – yes, Supv.
Lane – yes. Councilman Dodge motioned for a resolution to
accept the bid and award contract #2 to New Century Electric at
$165,160.00. Councilman Roberts seconded the motion. Agreed.
Roll call vote: Councilman Tepfenart – yes, Councilman Dodge –
yes, Councilman Roberts – yes, Councilman Timerman – yes and
Supv. Lane – yes. Motion for Supv. Lane to sign agreement for
- Councilman Roberts motioned a resolution to sign a two year agreement
with the Town of Clayton, Town of Lyme and Town of Cape Vincent
for dog control with Betsy Ring, dog control officer.
HIGHWAY SUPT. Supt. Gilchrist reports Culvert work on Star School House Road
and Weaver Road preparing for pavement. New water line is being
installed in the Brownville Cemetery.
CLERK: Clerk report given for May, 2020. Councilman Timerman motioned
acceptance of the reports and Councilman Dodge seconded the motion.
TOWN SUPERVISOR: 1. Notice from NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance the
equalization rate remains at 100%.
2.The Board of Assessment Review met May 26, 2020 for
grievance hearings with five filed complaints.
FLOOR: No comments
HIGHWAY BILLS: Board Members reviewed the payables. Councilman Timerman
motioned to pay the General Bills ($46,659.51), the Highway
bills ($35,424.19) and the water bills ($93.89). Councilman
Roberts seconded the motion. Agreed.
ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Dodge motioned to adjourn at 5:28 PM and
Councilman Tepfenhart seconded the motion. The next town board
meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM on July 1, 2020.
