TOWN OF BROWNVILLE                                      TOWN OFFICE, LIMERICK, N.Y.

TOWN BOARD                                                         JUNE 2, 2021, 5:00 PM

 

PRESENT:    Roll call of Board Members:

Supv. Richard D. Lane, Councilmen Ron Tepfenhart, Albert Roberts,

Richard Dodge, Jeff Timerman, Supt. Roy Gilchrist and Clerk June

McCartin.

 

ABSENT:      No One

 

MINUTES:   Motion from Councilman Tepfenhart to accept the May minutes as

received and Councilman Dodge seconded the motion.  Agreed.

 

FINANCIAL

STATEMENT:  Not Available

.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:  None

 

BIDS:          None

 

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

Incoming:  1. Notice from Dexter Historical Society for event on June 13

to dedicate the bell that came from the First Univeralist Church Steeple

and to kick off the fire department’s Last Station building Campaign.

  1.       A letter of Thanks from Volunteer Transportation Center for the

Town donation.

Outgoing:  1. None

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  1.                    Planning Board Minutes not available
  2. Ron’s monthly land use reports
  3.         Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables
  4. Monthly dog report

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

  1. Received update for WD #2 from BCA.
  2. Received petition for water service on Road 365. The Board finds the

availability of grant money in unobtainable at this time.

  1.        Received quote from Barton and Loguidice for engineering Services for

the Riverside Solar Project at $19,000.  Also received quote from BCA

for same services for $5000. Board does not feel this service in needed

at this time.  Tabled for later discussion.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Councilman Tepfenhart motioned approval of Local Law No. 1-
  2. This Law shall be known as “Water Use Law for the Town of

Brownville Water District No. 2”.  A public hearing will be held at

5:00 PM July 7, 2021.  Councilman Timerman seconded the

motion with all in agreement.

HIGHWAY SUPT.  Supt. Gilchrist reports road work on CR59, Carr Road work done

and Contessa Lane work.  Surplus equipment has been auction on

Auctions International receiving $41,180.  Supt. Gilchrist received

quotes for a new excavator at $186,000 from JD, $154,000 from

Volva and $171,000 from Cat.  Supt. Gilchrist prefers CAT and

Councilman Tepfenhart motioned to accept their offer and

Councilman Roberts seconded the motion.  Agreed

 

CLERK:                   Clerk report for May given.  Councilman Timerman motioned to

                                 accept report and Councilman Roberts seconded the motion. 

                                 Agreed.

 

COUNCILMEN:      Nothing

 

TOWN SUPERVISOR: 1. Received JCIDA report for Solar Project at 18144 Game

Farm, LLC,

Property of Shawn & Joann Rickett.

  1.        Councilman Tepfenhart offered a resolution for water districts #1

and #2 to provide for standardization in the purchase of particular

type or kind of equipment if doing so results in efficiency or

economy to the Town of Brownville.  Councilman Timerman

seconded the motion and all agreed.

 

WATER,

GENERAL AND

HIGHWAY BILLS:   Board Members reviewed the payables.  Councilman Dodge

motioned to pay the General Bills ($47,198.00), the Highway

bills ($51,791.77) and the water bills ($120.36).  Councilman

Roberts seconded the motion.  Agreed.

 

ADJOURNMENT:    Councilman Tepfenhart motioned to adjourn at 5:23 PM and

Councilman Roberts seconded the motion.  The next town board

meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM on July 7, 2021.
