TOWN BOARD MARCH 2, 2022 5:00 PM
PRESENT: Roll call of Board Members:
Supv. Richard D. Lane, Councilmen Ron Tepfenhart, Jeff Timerman,
William Pickett, Supt. Roy Gilchrist and Clerk June McCartin
GUEST: Legislator Bill Johnson, Mark Kellar and Michelle Keech.
ABSENT: Richard Dodge
MINUTES: Motion from Councilman Timerman to accept the February minutes as
received and Councilman Tepfenhart seconded the motion. Agreed.
STATEMENT Received copy of January 2022 financial report. Acceptance motion by
Councilman Tepfenhart and second by Councilman Pickett.
PUBLIC HEARINGS: None
Incoming: Copy of letter from Village of Dexter to Highlander
Construction requesting payment from the bonding company
for the water used by Highlander during installation of Town of
Outgoing: Copy of letter sent to Town residents in WD #2 with
information regarding the DANC fee added to the billing.

- Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables

In regard to WD #2 the leaks have been repair, curbstops in need of
HIGHWAY SUPT. Supt. Gilchrist reports crew is plowing. Summer equipment has
been serviced and stored for summer use. Crew has been patching
roads, and removing trees along Weaver, Moffat and Perch Lake
CLERK: Councilman Tepfenhart motioned to accept the February clerk
report and Councilman Pickett seconded the motion. Agreed.
HIGHWAY BILLS: Board Members reviewed the payables. Councilman Timerman
motioned to pay the General Bills ($17,148.89), the Highway
bills ($20,942.62) and the water bills ($2,215.92). Councilman
Pickett seconded the motion. Agreed.
Floor: Resident Michelle Keech,CR 59 spoke about her concerns over
the WD #2 which she was never in favor of. One of her concerns
is for the property restoration to a near original condition.
Legislator Bill Johnson spoke in regard to the redistricting based
on the 2020 census. Part of the Town of Brownville is now
represented by Clayton legislator Cantwell.
Legislator Bill Johnson also inquired about the Town Boards
opinion of the County providing ARP funds to the YWCA for
their aquatic center project. The County will vote on this in April
and after much discussion the feeling of the Town Board Members
is to grant the funds to the WYCA.
ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Tepfenhart motioned to adjourn at 5:50 PM and
Councilman Timerman seconded the motion. The next town board
meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM on April 6, 2022.
