FINANCIAL

Motion from Councilman Dodge to accept the August minutes as received. Councilman Timerman second the motion. Agreed.  
STATEMENT: Councilman Roberts motioned to accept the financial statements for  
July. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Agreed

COURTESY OF THE FLOOR: Couple from Route 180 was wondering if solar was coming to route 180 area

COMMUNICATIONS:

Outgoing: None

Incoming: 1. Letter from Division of the Budget regarding Coronavirus. Will receive a total of $355,178.42, to be distributed at h this year and 1/2 next year.

  1. 2020 Census Report
  2. Note from court clerk regarding “Dog at large” would like to know if town attorney plans to prosecute this case.

REPORTS:          1. Received monthly report by Ron McGregor, Code Enforcer

  1. Copy of tonnage for transfer site
  2. Copy of Jefferson County Recycling report
  3. Dog Control Report for July

UNFINISHED

BUSINESS:                1.        Water District #2 update: leak has been fixed. Company is going to chlorinate water line again. Test results will then go to Albany DOH. Once all approved, water line will be turned over to the Town of Brownville.

NEW BUSINESS: 1. Councilman Dodge motioned to accept purchase from VanBortel

Chevrolet for 2022 pickup truck for Highway Department cost of $ 33,306.00 under state contract. Councilman Timerman second the motion. Agreed.

  1. Presented was Short Environmental Assessment form for Cannabis dispensaries. Town will readopt Local Law for cannabis with a seeker.
HIGHWAY Supt. Roy Gilchrist stated they are doing pipe work on Co. Rte.59,
SUPT.: Paving roads in Dexter and chip seal on Carr, Moffett and

Contessa Lane Roads. Ditch work on Carr and Weaver Roads.

GENERAL AND

HIGHWAY BILLS: Councilman Roberts motioned to pay the audited general bills ($39,083.71) and the audited highway bills ($53,816.27) and the water district bill ($120.39). Board members reviewed and signed the vouchers. Councilman Timerman second the motion. Agreed.

ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Dodge motioned to adjourn at 5:18 PM and Councilman Roberts second the motion. The next town board meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM on October 6, 2021. Agreed.
