MINUTES: Motion from Councilman Dodge to accept the July 2023 minutes as
received and Councilman Timerman seconded the motion. Agreed.
FINANCIAL
STATEMENT: Motion from Councilman Tepfenhart to accept the June 2023 Financials
as received with Councilman Timerman seconded the motion. Agreed.
PUBLIC
HEARING: None
BIDS: None
COMMUNICATIONS:
Incoming: Received Municipal Shelter Inspection Report from NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Outgoing: Letter to Village of Brownville in support of renovations to the
Brown Mansion.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Ron’s monthly land use reports
- Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables
- Monthly dog report not available
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
- Casey Dickinson, BCA was present for update on WD #2.
- Chlorine Booster Station update
- Town Board voted to adopt resolution for Change Order #4
for water district #2
NEW BUSINESS: 1. Due to water rate and fixed asset increase to the town, as of April
2023 the water rates in WD #1 & WD #2 will increase .50 per
1,000 and DANC rate will increase $5.00 per quarter. New
average rates will be $92.00 per quarter plus $4.00 per 1,000
gallons over 10,000 gals. Council Member Dodge motioned
to accept increase with Council Member Timerman seconded the
motion. Agreed.
- Councilman Timerman motioned to allow access to Verizon for
Site Access Agreement on Moffatt Road, Quarry, for potential
Cell Tower Build. Council member Tepfenhart seconded the
motion. Agreed.
HIGHWAY SUPT. Councilman Tepfenhart made a motion to sell two loaders,
tires, and mower tractor on Auction International, Councilman
Dodge seconded the motion. Drainage work is being done on
Stone and Weaver Roads. A new dump truck box came in for #4
truck. Working on CR 59, Sherwins Bay, on culvert pipe. Reeds
Bay Road rebuild in the process. .
CLERK: Councilman Dodge motioned to accept the July 2023 clerk report.
Council member Pickett seconded the motion. Agreed.
We are in the process of conducting interviews for Deputy Clerk
Position.
COUNCILMEN: None
TOWN SUPERVISOR: 1. Councilman Dodge motioned to Reappoint Michael Devine
to Chairperson, Zoning Board of Appeals, term to expire
7/30/28. Council member Timerman seconded the motion.
Agreed.
- 2. Town of Brownville Cleanup dates are set for August 19th,
23rd and 26th.
- Public hearing is set for September 6,2023 at 5:00 PM to
amend town zoning laws.
WATER,
GENERAL AND
HIGHWAY BILLS: Board Members reviewed the payables. Council member Dodge
motioned to pay the General Bills ($23,827.56), the Highway
bills ($50,515.52) Water bills WD #1 ($24,510.42), WD #2
($8,966.99). Council Member Tepfenhart seconded the motion.
Agreed.
FLOOR: None
ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Timerman motioned to adjourn at 5:25 PM and
Council member Dodge seconded the motion. The next Town Board meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM September 6, 2023.
