LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the proposed budget for the year 2024 of the
Town of Brownville Joint Fire District of the County of Jefferson and the State of New York has been adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Town of Brownville Joint Fire District.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at the Town of Brownville Joint Fire District Offices, 100 Locke St., Dexter, N.Y. on October 17th, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.
A Special Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners will follow at the later of the conclusion of such Public Hearing or 7:00 p.m., at the same location.
Pursuant to Town Law section 181, the Board of Fire Commissioners shall hold a public hearing to discuss the contents of the proposed budget. At such a hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as compiled, or for or against any items or items therein contained.
A copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Brownville at 16431 Star School House Road, Dexter, New York, during office hours of Monday-Thursday from noon to 5 p.m., or at the Town of Brownville Joint Fire District Offices at 100 Locke St., Dexter, New York, where it may be inspected by any interested person during the office hours of Monday— Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
