MEETING MINUTES
PRESENT: Roll call of Board Members: Supv. Richard D. Lane, Councilman Jeff Timerman, Councilman Richard Dodge, Councilman Howard Ganter, highway Superintendent Roy Gilchrist and Town Clerk Novina Green

ABSENT: None
MINUTES: Motion from Councilman Timerman to accept the July 2026 clerk minutes as received and Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Agreed
FINANCIAL STATEMENT; None
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables
- Clerk Monthly Financial Report for July 2026
- Planning Board minutes for July 2026
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: Supervisor Richard Lane presented the board members with 2026 Fall clean up for the Town of Brownville transfer site. Dates are August 15th, 19th and the 22nd 2026
HIGHWAY SUPT: Highway Superintendent Roy Gilchrist updated the board members with doing some clean up on Stone Rd and paving Van Alstyne Rd.
CLERK: Motion from Councilman Timerman to accept the July clerk financial report as received and Councilman Ganter seconded the motion. Agreed
COMMUNICATIONS:
INCOMING :
- Letter from the Department of planning and Community Development announcing that the Jefferson County public transit service is up and running.
- Letter from resident Jo-Anne Freehand regarding concern for property near hers. After further review, board members agreed to send out letter to property owner.
OUTGOING: None
COUNCILMAN: Councilman Timerman commented on the land use revenue increase and stated that Zoning Officer mike Battista is doing a good job.
TOWN SUPERVISOR:
- Supervisor Richard lane presented the board with an update from Riverside Solar- they will be bidding it to NYSERDA Tier 1 in efforts to secure commercial offtake for the project. Awards for the solicitation are anticipated in Q3 2026. He also started working on the 2027 budget. He had also brought up on updating the Town sign. Highway Superintendent Roy Gilchrist mentioned he can reach out to Jefferson County to inquire prices/..
WATER/GENERAL/HIGHWAY BILLS: Board members reviewed the payables. Councilman Dodge motioned to pay the General Bills ($55,327.02) the Highway Bills ($246,538.43) Water bills WD#1 ($28,819.22) WD#2 ($14,874.29). Councilman Timerman seconded the motion. Agreed.

ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Ganter motioned to adjourn at 5:20 PM and Councilman Timerman seconded the motion. The next Town Board meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM October 7th , 2026.
