MEETING MINUTES

PRESENT: Roll call of Board Members: Supv. Richard D Lane, Councilman Bill Pickett, Councilman Jeff Timerman, Councilman Richard Dodge, Highway Superintendent Roy Gilchrist, and Town Clerk Novina Green

ABSENT: Councilman Howard Ganter

MINUTES: Motion from Councilman Timerman to accept the June 2026 clerk minutes as received and councilman Dodge Seconded the motion. Agreed

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

1. Copy of transfer site tonnage of refuse and recyclables
2. Clerk monthly financial report for June 2026
3. Planning Board minutes for June 2026

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS: None

HIGHWAY SUPT: Highway Superintendent Roy Gilchrist updated the board members with doing some County work on 59 and getting ready to pave between the months of July and August.

CLERK: Motion from Councilman Timerman to accept the June 2026 clerk financial report as received and Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Agreed

COMMUNICATION:

Incoming- Riverside Solar Update – received a letter from AES Clean Energy regarding them bidding Riverside into NYSERDA’s 2026 Tier 1.

Outgoing- Response letter was mailed out to Alvin Baker in regard to speed reduction

COUNCILMAN: None

TOWNSUPERVISOR:

1. Review Resolution #2 2026 form – Councilman Timerman inquired as to which date will the Town be using for the “take effect” date to which the board members agreed to apply today’s date 7/01/2026.
2.  New laptop needed for Assessor – Jefferson County’s new update is not supported through the current laptop. Motion was made to approve it.

WATER/GENERAL AND HIGHWAY BILLS: Board Members reviewed the payables. Councilman Dodge motioned to pay the General Bills ($29,741.19) the Highway Bills (56,304.28) Water Bills WD#1 ($181.55) WD#2 ($658.77) Councilman Timerman Seconded the motion. Agreed

COURTESY OF THE FLOOR:

1. Historian John Stano updated the board members with research he has been doing for the Town. He also stated that anyone with old pictures or artifacts related to the Town of Brownville can be left at the Town office to make copies.

ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Timerman motioned to adjourn at 5:20 PM and Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. The next Town board meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 PM, August 8th 2026
